What is Common Rail? Well, whether it’s TDi, TDCi, HDI or CRDTI nearly all modern diesel engine road vehicles use Common Rail fuel systems. The term “Common Rail” is a reference to the fuel system high pressure fuel rail. This acts like a pressure vessel in that it stores and supplies fuel for the fuel injectors, which in turn deliver the fuel to the engine.
